The Prague Film Awards was born out of a desire to create a multicultural platform that connects international and Czech filmmakers, cinephiles and industry experts and brings the freshest independent films to Prague’s heart.

Taking place since 2017, PFA was sold out in 2018, 2019, and 2020, and had a successful three-day special edition in 2022 attracting a mixed audience. Every year we expand further and grow stronger.

The Festival’s core philosophy is to showcase independent films of all genres and styles regardless. Therefore, our screening selections span a wide range of themes, and film types by filmmakers of all walks of life.

The Prague Film Awards aims to be more than a film festival, a place where people who make cinema and those who love it can meet and share their views through memorable screening experiences.
