Synopsis
This documentary is the first full-length film about the figure of José Menese, a cantaor who revolutionized flamenco of his time and brought new values to Cante Jondo, giving it political and social commitment, a flamenco as part of that protest song that faced dictatorship Spanish, taking this art to cultural spaces and scenarios that had never before reached. Today those cantes are recovered and reinterpreted by young voices of women, the new revolutionaries of todays flamenco. Songs and lyrics, always associated with male voices, and that many of them have not been re-sing will become valid and topical in the voices of these artists who take a step forward in their art and their way of understanding the Flamenco expression.
