Jury Statement
August Sky is a lyrical, beautiful story about where our world is heading. The Amazon fire and the strange, dangerous-looking sky are emblematic of the dangerous world around us. The protagonist Lucia (brilliantly played by Badu Morais) is consciously and subconsciously afraid of giving birth to a child in such a world. She needs support, a community of understanding. The ending of the film is not obvious and makes one think about the film. The director observes Lucia and the world around her with great care and kindness. She tells the story through gestures and non-obvious events. She builds a nice rhythm throughout, which gives the impression that the story flows with the Lucia.

Jury Statement
"Unsettling Dust" impresses with its beautiful imagery and gives us a sensitive insight into aspects of the environmentally damaging legacy of a nuclear power. A stylistically unique work with a pinch of poetry.
