“Comic Book Shop” is a humorous chronicle of the comic book culture in Poland shown through the prism of the iconic store that brings together the whole world of graphic novel enthusiasts. The Warsaws “Centrum Komiksu” is the oldest comic shop in Poland, run continuously since the early 90s. Kuba and his father run the store with such passion and dedication that the “Centrum Komiksu” has long been recognized as a cult site. The comic book shop has become a meeting place for variety readers – from enthusiasts and consumers to creators and publishers. The film looks at the transformation of the publishing market in Poland based on a rich history of the “Centrum Komiksu” store. In three chapters we see different parts of it. From the stories about the owners themselves and loyal customers, through the history of publishing difficulties and problems faced by the creators themselves. “W Centrum Komiksu” shows all the shades of this colorful comic book world.
